What part of the roof mechanism makes it pop up from folded when you pull the release latch?
Mine has stopped and the roof just stays fully folded, it makes it really hard to catch the edge to get the roof back up.

Is the NC top the same?

When mine started sticking I used NORMFEST dry lube on all of the frame pivot points.
I was quite surprised how stiff overall the roof had become.
Now it pops up like it used to and glides up and down very easy.

Sorry, my eye sight is failing me!!! NC was a clue but I missed it.
It may be similar, a quick comparison will tell.

Look up “walking stick tips NC” on this forum.
I fitted 2 5/8” rubber walking stick tips onto the points where the hood sits when folded.
This restores the “spring” when you release the hood lock, and the hood lifts slightly up ready for you to lift up
