Quite simply I’ve been looking around for things to fiddle with over the summer in the garage. I’ve noticed that a set of 4 used rx8 calipers can be had for around £50-£60. Getting these on the bench, stripping them for powder coating by a collegue, cleaning the internals and replacing the seals and it should cost no more than £100 all in.
The question is, is it worth it? It’s in need of new pads soon and the discs are past their best so might as well be done as a set so now would be the best time to play.
Any advice or insight from those of you with experience of this would be greatly appreciated.
