NC sport cup 2 quick review

Got some sport cup 2 tyres for my nc before even my most recent trackday at Bedford.
What can i say, it seems almost impossible to unstick it with them on. My daily tyres are Michelin PS4’s which are already incredibly sticky, the sport cup 2’s feel like a different league.

Driving to the track the sport cup 2’s are immediately more responsive, not something i was anticipating to notice on the road. Much more precise steering. On the track they take a little bit to warm up likely due to the light weight of the car, but when they do switch on there is seemingly unlimited grip. Braking points seem 40% shorter than that of a lot of the other cars on track, to the point where i was coming up on much higher performance cars with significant speed differentials.

In the corners there is endless grip, turn in is sharp and precise and you can simply aim at the apex and the car will stick. Trail braking is a joy. Under steer is almost non existent light adjustments on the throttle keep that well at bay. However oversteer is also very hard to come by, for pure lap times this is great but at times it did feel like a bit of the joy had been taken. When the back did start to go it was very linear and easy to control.

The main reason for the tyres was simply to put more laps in, previously on the PS4’s after a few laps the tyres would seriously overheat and require cooling down, however with the cup 2’s you can go lap after lap with absolutely no degradation.
