You can leave it off (apparently has no real benefit on handling) or as I did it does fit back on over the adjusters without fouling them. I’m talking having had MeisterR’s fitted on my last car.
Only drawback is removing the strut brace for future adjustment but it’s no big deal.
A third option, drill an access hole on each side to gain access to the adjusters
Just drilled through mine.
