Does anybody know when in 2005 the NC was launched in the UK please?
I’m pretty sure that I’ve read on here before that it was September 2005. (55 plate)
Thanks for that. Mine’s on a 55 plate and registered in Nov 2005. I was trying to see if I had the first one!!

Mines Nov 2005 also, so based on what Andy has just posted, its a race between me and Speedo to see who’s was registered first.

Mines registered 21st Nov 2005 too!!!
The first one was crushed not long after it entered the UK. It was a blue model (there was also a silver one), that did the rounds of the dealers. It never had a proper VIN, instead a VIN was scribbled on a sticker. My understanding was neither of these cars could be sold on.

Why are you selling Speedo ??
I’ve got it out of my system now (mid life crisis) and need a car with more seats that I can also use to teach my daughter to drive in.
I’ll have another one one day once I retire!!!
I sold my bike to part fund buying my MX5.
I considered that I’d had a bike through the first 10 years of my mid life crisis and managed to retain all my limbs.
Maybe as I entered phase 2 of the mid life, I’d buy something a little more sensible.
Probably the wisest thing I ever did.
She’s a summer only toy, doing a few thousand miles per year.
Never comes out if there’s a hint of rain and salt is a four letter swear word.
Considering what you’ll get for it, if it’s a nice straight tidy car, then I’d be tempted to keep it and do the same.
Would have thought most of the actual early cars would have been the Launch Editions.

Thinking back, when the NC was introduced, you could get any NC as long as it was a Launch Edition.
My Launch Edition was registered 31-10-2005 and is 112/300 (0982/3500 World no.)
I wonder who has 001/300 ?
However, mine is the only Launch Edition in Northern Ireland …unless someone has one tucked away unseen.
It seems that Speedos crown is being diminished.
Maybe Speedo can claim, ‘One of the first (non launch edition) NC’s in the UK.’
