I am having some issue locating the official Mazda workshop manual, preferably the 06 manual, I have searched high and low and all I seem to come across are dead links free or paid for. I know the part number and have cast a wide search net to I clues all mx5 models and try and see if those sites have the 06/NC but most either don’t sell the manuals any more or as mentioned above don’t work.
I have all other manuals, wiring, service, owner but can’t find the workshop - I found the one for the Mazda cx-7 within an hour or two, I’m surprised it’s this hard to find the mx5 workshop manual.
The part I’m looking for is 9999-95-042B-## (## = the year it was made, 06 preferably)
Unlike most people I would rather have it in a pdf format, I got a tablet I use when I’m working on the car.
Also to point out, I have got other manuals, they tell me almost everything I need but they seem to be missing some key information that when comparing it to the cx-7 wsm doesn’t give me the voltage range for sensors, only an diagnostic software error code - which costs 20x more than a multimeter…
If anyone has a link, or even one I can buy (in the UK - but prefer digital as mentioned above) I would really appreciate the help
And if you go to Menu it shows all MX5 models NA through NC.
I would recommend you save the ones that you use a lot on a local drive as the links seem to either disappear or no longer work after a while.
where as those manuals rely on the m-mds software (from what I read mazda as 2 diagnostic software, that one and another) that require specific hardware
The issue is this is for a conversion over to the cx7 engine and ecu - the connectors seem to be the same for a load of things but I need to know if the sensors are outputing the same signals (which I dont think that there are too many that would be an issue but the app sensor is different shape between cx7 and mx5 though the connector is the same - wiring may be reversed in said connector, dont know on output signal though)
Ah right, oh well, worth a try I suppose. our technical chap, Roadster Robbie, ‘might’ be able to help in getting the relevant pages. Apologies to Robbie if I’m overstepping in suggesting this?
Thanks though, any help is appreciated, here and over at miata.net have always been helpful, infact its where I found the mellens manuals in the first place - I plan on returning the help once the swap is done with a guide of sorts of how to do it - but I need to actually do it first.
