NC1 brake line blanking plugs?

  1. My model of MX-5 is: __NC1
  2. I’m based near: __
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __

Looking for some info on whether or not a ‘blanking plug’ is available to connect to the front brake line banjo bolt for the NC after the banjo is removed from caliper to prevent fluid loss.

If any of you wise people know of such an item / correct thread size and where to purchase I’d be most grateful.

Regards
P

Just use an M10 nut and bolt with a couple of copper seal washers.

Also - take off the fluid reservoir cap - put a plastic bag over the opening - then screw the cap back on.
This creates a seal and it stops a lot of the fluid draining from the reservoir.

Cheers for reply

I use brake pipe clamps.

I’m putting on some braided lines soon. With Deano’s suggestion and pre filling the line from a syringe I may get away without a ‘bleed’?
Done in the last six months so I’m not being especially tight😀

You will never get away without any bleeding of the system after disassembly.

BUT - you can minimise it by sealing off the system.
