- I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: Potential solutions.
Hey everyone, first post on here.
My NC Auto (60k miles) has ran into an issue recently with the auto transmission. I have a check engine light along with a ‘AT’ light on the dash and the vehicle is locked into 4th gear even after trying to change it in manual mode. When cold starting it creates this awful whining noise but then soon disapears when the engine is warm.
Fault code on OBD was ‘P2721’ ‘Pressure control solenoid D control circuit’. Returns after clearing.
I have taken it to a JDM specialist nearby in which they couldn’t diagnose the exact issue. There was no leaks, no issue with solenoids working and no issues with the electrial circuits. The fluid did need changing though.
After reading other posts online i’ve seen similar issues in regards to the TCM (transmission control module) but it seems they are quite hard to source.
I’d appreciate any advice on how to proceed.
Thanks guys.
