Been thinking about my new toy and wondered what others thoughts are about the Bose stereo in the ND.
I’ve been quite impressed by the Bose in my wife’s CX5’s (she’s on her 4th one since 2013) and also like the Harmon Kardon stuff that’s been fitted to my last few BMW’s. My favourite was the Burmester system in a Mercedes, superb depth and detail.
Any thoughts are appreciated
I’ve had my 2018 ND2SatNav+ since last July and I’d say the Bose system is pretty good… However, being a convertible and a less quiet environment, I would say it probably sounds better in the CX-5… I was pleasantly surprised that my ND2 had a CD player though
I think it’s ok in fact pretty good. It’s not close to the BMW HK or Jag Meridian systems but who buys an open top sports car for the stereo get the roof off and feel the wind I say
I play everything from baroque to punk through mine and enjoy it all, 9 speakers in a tiny cockpit, great with the volume turned up. There is a switch in the roof lock that adjusts the output depending on whether the roof is up or down.
Seems we have a similar broad span of musical taste
Personally I don’t find the Bose ND2 system that impressive. On the other hand I haven’t heard any other systems in an ND2
That said the Bose ND2 system is pathetic roof down compared to the Halfords radio cassette plus speakers in the rear cabin wall I had 30 years ago in my Spitfire! It had to be to be heard over the straight through “Terrytune” exhaust “system “.
