I’m getting a active bonnet error on the dash 4 flashes then 1 flash I’ve plugged it into ForScan and it’s giving me the following error:-
Probably a stupid question but do you think it is the sensor nearest the centre of the bumper on the lefthand side.
I have purchased a new sensor but havent taken the bumper off yet.
Thanks.
If it helps I would say that it would say ‘outer left’ or ‘middle/centre left’ if it were one of the others.
You could disconnect one of the others to see if you get a different fault notification to narrow it down.

Yes I think I will do that while the bumper isnt fitted fully to make sure the error goes away.
Thanks.

Please report back on how things go.

Check for corrosion in the connector where the wiring harness in the bumper joins the car harness too.

Managed to fix it but it was a bit of a weird one the FORScan error code descriptions were a bit misleading.
B1422 - Pedestrian Protection Sensor Inner left.
Was actually the far right hand side sensor (driver side RHD car)
I only found this out by unplugging a few of the other sensors for example I unplugged the far left hand side sensor which came up with this code.
B1427 - Pedestrian Protection Sensor Driver Inner.
Also to confuse matters further the second sensor in from the right that I unplugged comes us as.
B1423 - Pedestrian Protection Sensor centre.
So to summarise the 6 sensors go from right to left starting with code B1422 to B1427.
And the issue I had was that the far right hand side sensor had a break in the wire which I have now fixed.
