ND Black Bezel Screens

  1. My model of MX-5 will be: ‘17 RF (ND1)

  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: Screen Part numbers

I’m wanting to replace the display screen for the updated ones benefitting with the sharper resolution, and black bezel (aesthetically better to my eye).

Does anybody know the best way to search for these? (Thinking part number), and perhaps the cheapest way of searching. For example I’ve read that some Toyota Yarises (Is Yari perhaps the plural for Yaris?) have it too. I’d also need to know which model years to be looking at.

I would have a look at both screens side by side before you spend any money. We went from ND1 to ND2 and never noticed any difference.

I too have gone from ND1 to ND2, I didn’t even know there was a difference :rofl:

Yares, or yarides? Dunno. We didnt do Japanese at my school, only Latin and Greek… :slight_smile: :slight_smile: :slight_smile:

Its not a higher resolution, but a better contrast. I changed mine to one from a Mazda 2, by the time i sold the old screen and the Mazda 2 CMU it cost me about £10. ND ones don’t often come up for sale, you are better off searching for a Mazda 2 screen.

One Yaris is enough for any family. My wife has one - but tragically it’s not a GR but a badass 1.3…

There are 3 on eBay ranging from £120 - £150. If you sell your old screen as a replacement ND screen like I did it’ll cost you next to nothing.

What was the search term you used exactly? I’ve tried Mazda 2 display, display screen, display unit.

Only returned one in this prices bracket @ £139.99 or best offer. From a 2017 Mazda 2, which funnily enough is the same year as mine. Is the black bezel a guarantee of the contrast improvement?

You mentioned about selling the CMU, so wondering if I should be searching for more of a package sort of thing.

I’m just searching ‘mazda 2 screen’ which returns the following: 2018 £149, 2017 £139.99 & 2018 £119.95. You obviously take your chances with condition, but mine was immaculate.

Whether a black screen guarantees the better contrast I don’t know sorry, the one I bought was a 2019 Mazda 2 screen.
