ND centre arm rest

ok…I’ve managed to get hold of a genuine Mazda alacantara centre arm rest cover for my RF LE. I’ve removed the two visible screws but it is still difficult to remove the top of the armrest…any hints? Thank you

i didn’t realise you could get such a thing !,where did you get it,any pics ?

Maybe a hidden screw ??  On the NB it is under the electric window switch.

Looks very complex… from the service manual … You have to remove the whole console first (after removing four other bits)… Then you can slide the hinges out

REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the following parts:
a. Selector lever knob (AT) (See yet more instructions!)
b. Shift lever knob (MT)
c. Shift panel component (See yet more instructions!)
d. Upper panel (See yet more instructions!)
e. Parking brake lever boot panel (See yet more instructions!)
3. Remove the screws.
4. Remove the wiring harness clip.
5. Hold the shaded areas shown in the figure, lift up the rear console in the order of arrow (1) and (2), and detach the clips.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

REAR CONSOLE DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY

1. Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.

1 Rear console box component
2 Rear console
3 Rear console lid
4 Latch
5 Striker
6 Rear console box
2. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

Thanks all for your advice.I had to remove the entire centre console trim to get to the hidden screws…but it looks great.
