ND IL Motorsport 15mm spacers

Hello everyone

I have just bought these 15 mm spacers from MX5 Parts (great service) but what torque setting do I need to lighting the bolts up to?

Thanks a lot

Andrew

I found this. Putting mine on at 130Nm hopefully.

https://www.puretyre.co.uk/tyre-information/tyre-pressures/mazda-tyre-pressures/mazda-mx5-tyre-pressures-and-wheel-nut-torque-setting/

But I just got this back from mx5parts.

We set them at 110 nm as it seems to be the safer option

It should be as stated in the owners manual for the wheel nuts, which is 108 nm to 147 nm

“Wheel nut tightening torque When installing a tyre, tighten the wheel nut to the following torque. 108—147 N·m (12—14 kgf·m, 80—108 ft·lbf)”

We certainly would not take it as high as 147 NM

I use 110nm for the wheels and spacers, never had a problem.

I believe the correct setting is FT…

You may have to send them back to MX5 Parts! IL Motorsports have issued a recall on their 15mm spacers. MX5 Parts should be in contact with original purchasers.

Simon.

Thanks Simon @Paddyman mine will come off and sent back next week.

Can you provide any more infomation about this recall? It is the first I am hearing of it, granted I have 25mm spacers not 15mm spacer from IL Motorosport.

It’s just the 15mm size, from the last two years from what I have heard. Contact MX5 Parts if you have any concerns. I’m returning two sets for a refund.
