He is not lazy and does not tell lies. He looks after my NA and also my wife’s car. I have tried to get on to the Mazda portal on his computer and the message is access denied. I take great offence when some one who does not know the facts slags off a friend of mine. I would not be surprised if he did not start a legal action against you for slander. You have been warned.
Within warranty period (3 years) I believe it best to stick EXACTLY to Mazda’s Annual Service Schedule.
Until now for the first 3 years I have ALWAYS used approved Mazda Dealers to be safe.
However this isn’t always foolproof since it is always YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that the Authorised dealerships do in fact follow Mazda’s Annual Service Schedule. Believe it or not this is may not be the case, eg in the second year Brake fluid must be changed . Some Authorised dealerships do not realise this.
After 3 - 5 years I start to use trusted service garages to do the service following EXACTLY the Mazda’s Annual Service Schedule. My trusted service garage will have access to the digital record to record oil, oil filter, diff oil ,brake fluid, air filter changes etc. …BUT the body and anti perforation Warranty is another matter.
How do I ensure that the body and anti perforation Warranty is in force if a service facility other than an authorised Mazda one is used ???
Can anyone with experience body and anti perforation claims help advise me on this?
That was cheap. I’ve rang around as someone suggested on here but the cheapest I got was £229 with them quoting the brake fluid change as the reason for the higher than 1st service price.
I was offered one at £300 by my main dealer which covers everything for the first three years when I took delivery. Seems like a bit of a bargain compared to individual pricing??
It was the full second service with all liquid’s done. But as an area we do have a very good relationship with the garage. The only thing they did not have to do was the air filter as I have a ITG free flow filter fitted.
Hi Zuulan, i had my first service done at Haytons Southport, cost £169 all done.
In fact it was done last weekend and they were very helpful.
I live in Coppull so you are very near to me.
My 2 year service is being done on Friday, £280 at Mazda Pentraeth, when I phoned the Chester dealership the price was exactly the same. Price seems high to me, but as others have said I won’t take the car anywhere else while it is still under warranty. I don’t understand why the brake fluid needs doing though, I’ve had plenty of brand new cars over the years and have never known any of them to have the fluid changed in the first 3 years.
I got it done by them earlier this week. I assume spark plugs are not due to be done on this service because they didn’t change them.
I was disappointed that they didn’t wash the car. RRG Skoda cleans my Yeti inside and out even when it goes in for something minor, so I thought that was normal practice from dealerships.
I’d be grateful - if you’ve seen inside the buckets of water most dealerships use, you wouldn’t let them near your pride and joy with a wet drty, grit infested sponge.
I suspect that will be news to most people…If I use a a Mazda dealer it is certainly not my responsibility (nor within my competence ) to check they did the work properly ; they are businesses upon whose expertise I am entitled to rely. If they fail to do a job properly, or at all then I have a legal remedy against them .
