I seem to have an intermittent fault on the windscreen washers, sometimes they’ll work fine for a few days, then stop working for a few days. When they don’t work I can’t hear the washer motor.
I’ve checked the washer fluid level, checked the fuses, cleaned the washer jets etc.

Put on PPE, eg a mac,
Take out the washer+motor assembly, loosely couple an old bicycle pump full of water to the outlet (not the inlet!)
Reverse flush the washer+motor to dislodge the sediment that’s likely jamming its impeller.
If you forget your PPE, bystanders lurking at a safe distance can find this entertaining.
