ND2 lowering headlight reset?

  1. My model of MX-5 is: ND2
  2. I’m based near: midlands
  3. I’m looking for technical help

Lowered my ND2 and understand you may need to short some pins on the ODB? Can someone check my logic before i do this? Screen capped the pins and matched the diagram to my ODB. The green arrow D is to the door.

I like how they have chosen pins B & J for this but i’m a child.

Why not just manually lower them with the adjusters under the bonnet?

I maybe wrong(very likely) but im under the impression that nd2 dont need a head light reset after fitting lowering springs as they self level when you start the car.

@Mad_Malc just following the manual and that requires adjustment after they’ve been leveled. Manual pages - MX5 Manual | Mazda MX5 (Mk4) 2015+

@Sparkee I think they adjust every time you get in the car based on a known datum and the reset sets the ‘datum’. When you and a passenger get in it adjust accordingly.

You don’t need to on an ND2, only ND1.

Correct.

As above. Those instructions do not apply to ND2. You do not have the ‘gubbins’ attached to the rear suspension that you find on ND1.
