@exiled-viking it mentions they are power operated, heated in piano black. It may be just marketing and they are exactly the same as my current ones just black.
I may have just wished they were folding… never mind but thanks for your help
During research prior to buying my 30AE I think I read somewhere that some US spec cars have folding mirrors?
Out CX5 has them and the only real use they are to us is we know it’s locked as we walk away because the mirrors fold in.
I dislike the keyless systems on modern cars and wish I could disable mine and just push a button on the keyfob to lock/unlock it.
Thanks Paul, when it arrives from the (Mazda) dealer I bought the car from I’ll have a look, although thinking about it, it’s probably the same system as OH’s CX5, which we do have the manual for.
The weather here’s been pretty awful since I got the car last week so I’ve not had much opportunity to investigate mzd much.
Looking better though.
You can turn the Auto Lock system off in settings. You then have the option to lock or unlock using the key fob or the little rubber buttons on each door. You can also opt to have a beep or not as a confirmation. I like a reassuring beep to tell me I have been a good boy and done it correctly.
The paper manual supplied isn’t the full manual which runs to 563 pages. You can download it at the link below. You could print it off but unless you’ve got a pack and a bit of paper and several spare sets of ink cartridges I wouldn’t recommend.
