ND3 Mazda Connected Services & MyMazda App

  1. My model of MX-5 is: 2024 ND3 MX-5 RF Homura
  2. I’m based near: Middlesbrough
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: Availability of Connected Services

Hi all,

I recently picked up a new ND3 MX-5 with the newer ‘Mazda Connect’ infotainment system. I’ve registered with the MyMazda app and the car is showing on there fine after registering the VIN. However, I’ve heard that apparently the app can show things like fuel level, notifications for the alarm triggering etc. At the moment, all I can do in the app is view the car and see when the next service is due. There isn’t any option in the app to ‘enrol’ in the connected services.

The manual isn’t much help for this (it says “please refer to the Mazda Connect handbook”, but no such handbook came with the car).

Does anyone know if the ND3 is actually compatible with the connected services in the UK? I keep finding a lot of conflicting information on it! Even the Connected Services page on the Mazda UK site suggests it might only be for the MX-30?

I have installed the MyMazda app & registered my MX5 (also a 2024 RF Homura).

The app appears to be completely pointless as far as I can ascertain offering zero benefits for the owner. I wonder why they bothered to be honest.

The MyMazda app is needed to access the service record.
And the Mazda roadside assistance if you are still in warranty.
So apart from the first item not much use to me now.

Mazda UK have stated that the 2024 MX5 is classed as a gen 6.5 car and that full Connective Services are only available on gen 7 cars like CX60. Apparently the MX5 won’t go gen 7 until ~2027.
