As an additional event for everyone who isn’t attending the Hinckley Classic Car Show and to support the MX5 owners club ‘Drive The Five Day’ which is also on Sunday 15th September 2024.
Carol-Ann, Ian, Michele and Max invite you to join them on a short run over to Wymondham Windmill, near Melton Mowbray, LE14 2BU. You might remember visiting here on a previous run but more has been added since then.
The start point for the run is McDonald’s, off Landmere Lane, Edwalton, NG12 4DE meeting from about 9:30am onwards for a departure at 10:30am. (Greggs, Subway and Costa are here too with Aldi opening at 10am).
We will follow a route across the Vale of Belvoir which should take less than an hour, and once there you are free to enjoy the day as you wish. There is the windmill itself of course, a tea room, a selection of shops for you to browse, as well as a wild wood to wander around.
If you prefer and it suits you better to make your own way over to Wymondham Windmill, then that’s fine too. Please let us know in your reply that we’ll meet you there rather than McDonald’s. We aim to arrive 11:30am(ish).
This is intended to be an easy going and relaxed day so we are not planning a meal to follow this run, however, the tea room serves breakfast, lunch, cakes, drinks etc with both indoor and outdoor seating areas.
You can stay for as long as you wish, so you can sit and natter all day or head off home to get your car washed and polished - it’s up to you.
