Max and Michele invite you to join them on a run over to The Bubblecar Museum, Lincolnshire, PE22 7AW on Sunday 4th August 2024, and afterwards for a Sunday meal at Ye Olde Red Lion, Bicker, PE20 3EF.
As well as the display of Bubble and Micro cars, the museum is a nostalgia trip with displays of memorabilia from Bubble car era. There is also the opportunity to take a 15 minute ride in one of their cars, but we could do with an idea of numbers in case there is a limit and also to help plan the day.
The start point is McDonald’s, off Landmere Lane, Edwalton, NG12 4DE at 9.30am for a departure at 10.00am. (Greggs, Subway and Costa are here too). We’ll have a brief half-way stop at Belton Garden Centre before continuing on to the Bubblecar Museum.
The museum has a simple cafe and they are offering to provide a Ploughman’s Lunch for anyone who would like to pre-order one, but we do need to let them know how many are required.
There might be a Bubble Car Club meeting on their rally field on the day and if so, I expect we would like to look over their cars, and perhaps they would look over ours.
To finish, we will drive the 9 miles or so to Ye Old Red Lion at Bicker for a Sunday meal at 3.30pm, and again, we need to let them know how many of us there will be.
Museum entry is £5
Bubblecar ride is £15
Ploughman’s Lunch is about £8
Sunday meal main course is about £18, desserts about £7.50.
