Hi, I replaced my battery yesterday as the original Panasonic was becoming a lottery as to whether it would start the car or not, especially after a cold night.
After looking around, I went for a Bosch S4 in the end after finding one on Ebay for £47.99 delivered. It was very well packed as well and was sent via UPS with no issues.
The seller is Euro Car Parts, and this price is almost £10 cheaper than via their website, so a good price I reckon. Thought I’d share in case anyone else was looking for a new battery.
Phil thanks for this as I am looking to replace my original battery.
However on the eurocarparts website the S4 battery is now reduced to £44.34 for online and click and collect. Off down to my local store to pick up my click and collect order.
No worries. Just make sure it’s the right one as the one listed at that price is a type 063 which has a lip at the bottom for clamping and I’m not sure if that would fit in the battery compartment. The type 158 does fit.
Yes the S4 battery comes in at £58.74 on Eurocarparts, If You enter BLACKFRIDAY voucher code the price comes down to £49.93 DELIVERED. Then if you are using a cashback site (TOPCASHBACK) its 10% cash back as well. So the purchase price comes down to £44.94
I used my local ECP, I chose a Duracell battery over the Bosch S4 because it was 49 odd quid (including BlackFriday deal) and it has a 5 year warranty rather than 4 for the Bosch.
Anybody buying a NC battery from Eurocarparts make sure that they do give you a Type 158 and not a Type 156.
Their website and shop system says that you need a Type 156, however whilst this is the correct physical size the terminal posts are the wrong size being the smaller Japanese style post. I didn’t spot that they had given me the wrong one until I got home and so was not happy at having to go back and get the right one.
