New forum member and future ND owner

Hi All,
New forum member from the North East, looking to buy an Mx5 RF in the coming months, (hopefully picking up a bargain heading into the colder months! )
Had an ND a few years ago but ended up selling it and have totally regretted it ever since, so this time it will be for keeps,
Looking forward to my search!

Welcome along, North East of where…? :grinning:

If it’s North East England well I come from there however now live in North East Scotland so down there is positively the midlands…

Good luck with your hunt, Autotrader currently shows 130 RF so there will be one out there for you.

Whoops, meant the north east of England ! I live in the Teessdie area,

Just looking into which colour now, big fan of the Soul red, but also like the look of the artic blue, going to view a couple and see what i think, my last ND was grey, but it showed up every stone chip and scratch, i’m hoping a different colour may not show it as much ?

I think Blue or White hide blemishes better, I have had ND’s in Soul Red, Blue, Grey and now White. Soul Red is a stunning colour until you need to get it repaired.

Hello Finbob and welcome, and good luck with the search. When I bought my 5, about a year ago, it was my first and I definately had quite strong preferences, in terms of model, colour, engine, etc, when I was hunting through adverts and viewing. However, in the event the only similarity between the car I thought I wanted and the car I bought was that they were both MX5’s. It would seem with there cars the heart trumps all, I guess when you see it you will know!

Thanks Bruce,
looking forward to looking at a few different options, my last ND was a 2.0 Sport Nav, it was a great spec so may go for similar, but definitely a different colour choice this time

Well the search didn’t take to long,
picked up my 2019 2.0 Sport Nav+ in white today, and I love it already!

Nice, and with a 2019, early ND2 plate, you’ve probably got the era of the least trans issues.

Cheers ND12, that was a factor in my search :ok_hand:this one is definitely a keeper

Fingers crossed it is. However, we share the roads with millions of other people, and after being rear ended by a mobile phone using, reckless, selfish idiot 3 weeks ago, I’ve learned how fragile and idealistic the word ‘keeper’ is. My never driving in the rain, wet, salt, and generally looking after it to the point of illness was reduced to ‘was it worth it’ in a matter of seconds.
