The new shift lever is for a NB 5-speed, hence the double grooves and lack of a slot bush. You shouldn’t need to replace the shift lever, as all the bushes are available.

Replaced the bushes, springs and oil. Feels much better. :+1:

Any idea where I can get a mk 2 gear lever, the one with the double slots. Have gearbox without the gear change lever!:flushed:

I got one from Suffolk Mazda www.ukmazdaparts.co.uk, to replace my short shift, they also sell on ebay.

That sounds very reasonable. Is it definitely the twin slotted version for the Mk 2.5 ?
If so how do I arrange to buy it?

I looked at MK2 engine & transmission and brought at the National Rally a gaiter kit.
