Hello everyone.

I’ve raced MX-5’s since the tail end of 2016; firstly a Mk1 NA and since 2020 a Mk3 NC.

I thought I would join the Owners Club this year for the first time and I’m enjoying myself so far. I hope to contribute where I can in this forum and meet new people too… it’s far healthier than Facebook!

How much does it cost? How often is it? etc

Yes, it’s brilliant - I’m fortunate to be able to do it.

Costs vary, depending on how much testing you want to do, how many tyres you want to use, damage, luck etc. A typical budget for the season would be in the region of £15,000 - £20,000. We operate on a bit of a shoestring, but I’d rather be out there than not and we’re usually competitive.

This season there are 8 race weekends, all over the country. We’ve just been to Silverstone and the next race is at Brands Hatch. I have a website if you would like to look - https://johnlangridge.com/. I need to update from last weekend, but it should give you an idea.

Where are you based and what MX-5 do you have?

I’m in North West Kent on the Surrey boarder.

I have an NC3.5 PHRT which I am slowly modifying/ turning into a track car. Although I daily it at the moment!
