Hello everyone, new members currently residing in Pocklington near York. I am Ian and my partner is Alison (Aly) and we gave up our motorcycles in early 2021. After a while of looking around we stumbled across a 2008 NC 1.8 with the electric hard roof for sale at a German car dealer in Tamworth. The car was in good condition and the number plate satisfied my sense of humour (which matches the forum name choice in case you were wondering). We are gradually getting the maintenance up to date, seats renovated, fluids changed, etc. Still a bit to do but it is in good shape although the paintwork will need sorting at some point. Have seen a few MX-5 group’s out in the area and have had joining this group on the to-do list for a while. So finally got that one ticked off.
Although it is our fun car rather than our daily we have travelled a fair few miles since we got her, travelling to Surrey and North Wales and Inverness in the last year alone. Below is a photo we took while waiting for the Skye ferry last May. looking forward to meeting other members this coming season.
