Hello! I’ve just joined as a first time member, (27 years old) based in Ashford, Kent, in the South East of England. I’ve owned my MX-5 NC Miyako 1.8 (2010) since April…my first ever MX-5!
I use it locally for fun and travelling mainly at the weekends (as me and my wife have a more practical daily car - still Japanese). I’ve done a road trip to the Black Forest in Germany (including 120mph on the autobahn) and through the Vosges Mountains in May 2024, covering around 1,200 miles in 4 days alongside my brother and dad on their two motorbikes. In 2025, I plan to take it to the Scottish Highlands.
While not in mint condition, especially having had a questionable respray on the front bumper by a previous owner, at 87,000 miles it’s been faultlessly reliable mechanically and always puts a smile on my face. The roof is down in all dry weather in all seasons above 0 degrees!
