Hi people,
I’m a new (Since July) MX-5 owner and a recent addition to the forums here.
I posted this in the New Members area of the forum (has photos and some info)
https://forum.mx5oc.co.uk/t/new-member-2020-rf-2-0-gt-sport-tech-north-yorks
I’d like to get to know some members in the region and get involved in any events, look to joining the Club.
Any suggestions/advice?
Cheers, Steve.

Bless you Steve Welcome to the club. It’s very interesting once you learn how to navigate around the many forums, ( don’t be asking me though I haven’t got a clue where I’m On it most of the time )
I have only been to Yorkshire once ( sadly )
I had to Go there by train to pick up my lovely little Austin Healey on a lovely hot day Sunglasses on, Hood down, Weaving along some of the loveliest lanes I have ever seen, Beautiful scenery around every bend, etc. Memories I Will keep, I dropped into a little pub. Somewhere in the dales. And knew I had made a good purchase as people leaving the pub wandered over to take a look at it gleaming in the Lovely sunlight outside a very picturesque Yorkshire Pub. Don’t ask me where the pub was. I had been lost for an hour (Sat nav’s hadn’t yet been invented) … take care and enjoy your car and the club from Ray Hill. ( many miles away ) in Essex. And PS your car is beautiful Nice colour too It shows off the lines to perfection …

Hi Steve, welcome to MX5OC Yorkshire Ridings area forum. There is some info on local runs/meetings on this site http://www.mx5yorkshire.co.uk/
The next event listed is on 30th Oct http://www.mx5yorkshire.co.uk/social-events-club-runs/the-next-event/
The YR group use Facebook to communicate with each other, but I don’t use Facebook, so I can’t help you with the details.
Looks like you have a lovely MX5 with an interesting past history.
Enjoy driving on our great twisty B roads and give me a wave is you see a grey NBFL MX5.

Passed through Richmond a few years back from Catterick Barracks when sections of the North Bound A1 was shut for roadworks.
Bloody beautiful!
I had to stop for directions outside a very nice period look pub, a couple helped me out, and suggested I join them for a coffee before heading for Stirlingshire. So I did…lovely local folk even paid! Lots of questions about my locale which was nice.
Blazing summer’s day as well. Got a nice send off from others as I left too. I’d certainly B&B in Richmond. Champion people.

A very similar story to mine ( above ). I went to Yorkshire to bring my little Austin Healy home … it was a lovely summers day. I had the Hood down My sunglasses on and loved every minute of the journey through some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen… Lovely memories. I chose a little old Pub Inn too The same as you , It was such a lovely day I didn’t want the journey to end, Best regards from Ray In Essex
