you are bound to get the answer from someone here.
Do the pads have the springs fitted?
See http://www.mx5oc.co.uk/forum/forums/p/254/416.aspx#416 for more info…
G’day mate, welcome to the Forum
cheers Goof,visited that site,had a look,ran outside,jacked her up & … yep, broken spring,yer a star,heres hoping for a summer this year, phil.[H]
I think the only way to get the springs is to buy a Mazda set of pads - not seen any other way of getting them.
MX5parts might stock the “complete” kit.
Yep! - see http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/product_info.php/products_id/503 - this is for the 1.8 Mk1, seems to include springs & shims.
Hi Tilly,
Welcome to the world of Mk 1s…all old cars are supposed to rattle, it’s called character[;)]
Glad you’ve found the cause but I doubt it will be long before you find another rattle, I have a squeak coming from behind the glove box and stripping down and tightening everything in the area hasn’t fixed it!!!
Hello and welcome Tilly[:)]
Ben.
