Back end of last week I picked up this MX-5 Berkeley, needs a proper clean but I thought I’d share all the same:
Only 400 of these made and were the last of the mk1 models in this country, so this means my car was one of last 25 mk1’s sold here.
The 2 former owners were both enthusiasts from here at mx5oc.co.uk (sparkelyberkelybob and Kendra&Famine) , so as you’d imagine it runs fine and has a stack of receipts including all old MOT’s and tax discs. These receipts also include some choice mods; lowering springs, mk2 1.8iS wheels, Jackson Racing Cold Air Intake and Custom SS Powerflow Exhaust which is subtle when pootling but once revved sounds alot more purposeful. Goodyear Eagles with plenty of tread and the roof is fine too with no leads.
Bad points, just the bodywork really with a few little scrapes and scratches which doesn’t bother me, especially considering age and price.
Let me know what you think
P.S. Ohh and I’m new, so Hi!
Hi Sonam, welcome to the forum. Your car looks great. The bit about the odd little scratch, thats part of the fun getting the polishing clothes out and trying to get rid of them. Enjoy your car.
Cheers
Andy

Glad Kendra’s car went to a good home, hope to see you at the January Tech day in North Shields (If I can get it organised - might be Early February)
Welcome
G’day Ellie, Welcome back to the Forum
and greetings to the new owner as well—
Thanks guys, yer Ellie never left mx5oc
TT meet sounds good some time.
OT: whereabouts in Queensland Geoff? I’ve got some cousins that live in Noosa on the Gold Coast, nice place! Hoping I can move there some time in the future, maybe closer to Brisbane.
Hi, I live in Mt Coolum which is about 15ks from Noosa, however we live on the Sunshine Coast, not the Gold coast that’s south of Brisbane, we are 100 ks north.
So Kendra sold it complete with the TYNE TEES Owners Club Grill by the look of it.
I wonder why she didn’t keep it for her other car?
