Hello,

My friend’s tell me I’ve had a mid-life crisis and bought a ‘hairdressers car’ !!   How could anyone be so rude about my stunningly good-looking 140 bhp, 6 speed, Icon?  I bought it last April and looked forward to a summer of roof-down weather - oh well, we discovered that it is OK between showers and actually you do miss the rain up to a point when travelling at speed and woolly hats and warm fleeces have made sunny winter driving a joy.  I can see from posts on this forum that there are many others who enjoy their MX5’s as much as I do!

G’day mate, Welcome to the Forum

Ditto…

Welcome to the MX5OC[:D]

 greetings lass

Welcome - I’ll have a short back and sides please when your ready [;)]

Ignore the hairdressers remarks… you have bought yourself a “drivers” car!

 Enjoy!

I, also, was told i was having a midlife crisis when purchasing my 5. I am 32, how very dare they! [:@]Needless to say they were all grumpy, old, miserable, people carrier drivers. Strangely they all formed a queue for a spin round the block. i told them their hearts might not be up to it at their ages! That shut them up![;)]

welcome

Ali

Thanks for the welcome. [:)]

We’ve been 350 miles through Wales today, roof-down much of the way. What a brilliant experience and the best way to see Red Kites!

I am 34. My car is now known as the mid-life crisis by my family:

i.e. My wife says “are you taking the Voyager or your mid-life crisis?”. Just got used to it now!

The ‘hairdressers’ tag is a bit obvious now, ask them what they drive and yawn.

Did you go to the Red Kite Feeding Centre? I forget the name of the place… between Carmarthen & Lampeter somewhere… I went there last year, it was really good
