New Member

Hi everyone, I am a new member living in Exeter, and I have just bought a 2.0 sport nc.

Hope to get along to a meeting and catch up with you all.

Is there an independent Mazda/MX5 specialist in the area?

My MX is leaking like a sieve, 2 inches of water in the boot, windows dripping the carpets are damp , at the museum ment I do not have the time to start investigating my self, and winter is approaching fast.

Hi Shamrock,  welcome to the SW Area .   If you want to pop along to the monthly meeting at the Toby on Tues. 10th Oct you should be able to get some good advice about specialists . Usual issue regarding wet boot is the hood drain tubes being blocked or parking on a steep slope. Lots of friendly help …see SW website.

I have just ordered a Trombone Cleaner from Mxpartsuk

Hi and welcome. I’ve been on the forum for a few weeks, and just joined the club today, yippee

Hello mate and welcome.

Just a follow up on my wet boot and general dampness/ condensation in the car, I have stripped out everything in the boot including the metal plate that protects the fuel hose into the Fuel Tank.

There was pooling of water around the tops of the rear shocks where they are protruding into the car, I have a trombone cleaner on order and hopefully cleaning out the drains will cure this.

The boot seal is definitely ok as I gave it a quick blast with a pressure washer.

Whilst it’s all stripped out I fitted an upper rear Brace from mx5parts. I am in two minds as to buy a Hard Top from them, the Mk3 used ones are like Hens Teeth.
