I’m very happy to be the new owner of a 2000 1.8iS.
Having loved the MK2 for some time now, I spent a good while searching for a good one. I was lucky enough to finally find one that wasn’t 50% rust.
44k miles, single lady owner (lovely lady brought it for her 60th birthday) with an amazing service history, and perhaps best of all, it’s been garaged for its whole life, so there doesn’t seem to be any problematic rust.
I’ve currently got the car up on axel stands while I give it a full underseal and cavity wax treatment using Bilt Hamber products.
At the moment my long term plans for the car are to restore it back to as close to pristine condition as I can, calling it a restoration is a bit if an overstatement though…
Prior to becoming an OC member, I found this forum an invaluable resource, so I can’t wait to learn more and start contributing!
