Noticed the under bonnet area has sound deadening. My 2023 doesn’t, is this a new thing?

I follow her channel quite a lot, she’s done some great restorations, the one on her grandma’s truck was particularly good. Have a look into her history and you might be in for a shock:wink:

Are you referring to the underside of the bonnet, as in the black sound deadening panel in the picture below?
If you are then something is amiss.
I am yes.
I would go back to the dealer and ask some questions as I think it should be there. Is there an ‘anti-theft’ vin label attached to the metal part of the bonnet?
Have you had it from new?

Hi. I bought the car as an ex demo (with 300 miles) from a Mazda main dealer. Where abouts should I be looking on the bonnet for the VIN ? Regards

I have a 2020 ND 2.0 and it has the sound deadening black cover.
The VIN sticker is just above the rubber sealing strip on the inside bonnet as in the picture above.

Brain fade episode. Think I may be drinking too much in my local boozer! Have been out to the garage to check the car and it does indeed have the under black bonnet panel thing. (Think in my mind I was mixing it up with the boot which does not) Doh
