NEW OC MOTORSPORT CO-ORDINATOR IN POST

Hi Everybody, I would like to introduce myself as the new Motorsport Co-Ordinator for the OC.

My Name is Peter McNicol from the Norfolk Five’s. I am co-owner of the track car RED5 which some of you might have seen on the circuits.

My back ground is similar to Jon Earp, in that I have a military background with 30 years in the RAF.  My Motorsport experience is mainly in 12 years of Karting, with 3 years Super One in the eighties. As much as I would love to race again, I still have to take my family life into consideration.

I have a Passion for Raising Money for Mission Motorsport and I am looking to continue doing so. So please do not be surprised to see them at some of our events.

On a serious note, I would like to thank Jon Earp For his hard work and dedication towards motorsport within the MX5 OC. It will be a hard act to follow and I will do my utmost to do so. I wish Jon and His Family all the best for the future.

Heads up for next year and dates for your diary. Blyton 2015 will be held on June 20th/21st.

Looking forward to the future

Best Regards

Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks for stepping up to the mark and taking on the role on Motorsport Co-ordinator.

I met you at Blyton this year and had a go in RED 5. Your enthusiasm and motorsport experience was obvious and I’m pleased that the Owners Club has found such a strong replacement for Jon Earp.

Wishing you all the best in your new role,

 Nigel

Well done Pete, good luck in the new role Smile

Well done Peter and all the best in the new Role…

Hi peter
Welcome to your new post as Motorsport co-ordination.
If I or max5 can be of any assistance feel free to give me a call…

All the best
Paul

You dont know me, but good luck in your new role. Jon will be a hard act to follow, but new blood is never a bad thing.

Well done Peter and congratulations on getting the post, we can’t think of a better person to fill the post.

In the couple of years we’ve known you, your love of motorsport has always shone through, as has your willingness to get other people on the track.

Lets see how many other “bunny noses” you can get twitching out on track! Lol.

See you soon,

Martin & Wendy

Peter? your contact to us will be of more use to tell us of your plans, and if we agree with them? to carry on doing it for the club.

Peter
Many Congratulations to you.
I am personally so pleased that you have been offered this brilliant opportunity, especially you.
And from my experience of being with you on the track (usually hanging on with white knuckles and adrenalin off the scales) you were always were so patient when you were instructing me "faster faster " you would say, when I thought I couldn’t go any faster I did and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Then one day at Woodbridge, after I had some professional instruction in Red 5 you said “get out on the track then” I said “what on my own” you said “yes go”
I will never ever forget that day, it was so exilerating and it took a long time that day for my adrenalin level to come down to a normal level.

You can count on my support in the future.

Best regards

Ray

I haven’t been on here for a while but congratulations!

Jon will be a hard act to follow but I’m excited to see what plans you have in store for the motorsport side of the OC.

Now our dedicated track car is up and running I can’t wait to get out on track again!

Rachel

Keep your eyes peeled for events next year, currently negotiating discounts for track days for club members as well as other things. All being well I am hoping to have a club stand at the Auto Sport Show in January. Taster for Blyton will be out in the new year that should give people a better idea what to expect for next years event at Blyton.

Peter

Best of luck in the new post. If there is anything we can do to help let us know.
