will the logbook say exact model

i have no pics yet

Hi and welcome to the forum, not sure without pics what your car is.

Hello and welcome to the forum

To be honest, I think you may just have a standard car with, perhaps, some optional extras, such as the seats. You would know if you had a Jasper Conran - the interior was red on the silver car for a start, and it would have a limited edition badge on it. Here’s the brochure for you to look at and confirm:

I don’t think there were any other silver special/limited editions around that time (2001). But get some photos posted up as that will be an easier way to identify.

Edit: Actually, do you havee an Arizona (although this came out in 2002)? http://www.mx5-mazda.co.uk/arizona.htm

Sounds like a standard car thats been fettled, but have a look here, you might find yours http://www.mx5-mazda.co.uk/angels.htm

PS: Welcome to the addiction

wow what a warm welcome  … thanks for all the help will get some pics up asap … it has the MX5 Berkley Alloy Sport 15" Wheels on it …

quite a find this one ,as only has 24k miles on her … with full documentation and zero rust …  2 owners from new   couldn’t let the chance go when i was offered it … and always fancied one despite the jibes …

just a question regarding wheels … if i put 16" S-VT  wheels on her would it affect anything   … or just bolt em on

thanks

well here are the wheels i eventually fitted

with refurbished splashguards from a salvage yard

all done with rattle cans
