Hey everyone, i’m Phil from Stoke on Trent. Brought the wife a Mazda MX-5 NC as a birthday treat (that’s what I’ve told her anyway)
anyhow we love it! It’s a 1.8 manual mk3 or NC as I believe you call it. It’s the hardtop which is great. Looking forward to being a member. Here’s a few pics
Welcome along and enjoy, the forum is a wealth of knowledge, feel free to ask away ![]()

Hi Phil..and welcome…from another Stokie..I’m up in Hartshill..Great fun cars..you will really enjoy. I’m on my 3rd NC now..a 2014 25th Anniversary Edition
Thanks for the welcome mate. I’ll look out for you when I’m out and about. My daughter lives in Castle.
great looking motor BTW
Welcome Phil, its always good to see another Stormy Blue in the group.
Hope to see you and the car on a club drive.
Yep defo! Dont judge lol when you see it. Defo has a few small paint work marks that I will get sorted sometime within the next year along with a full undersell job needed to be done. Just not sure whether to d the underneath myself and use waxoil or this lanoguard I keep hearing so much about, apparently is quick to apply and can be done yearly
No judging here. Mine isn’t perfect to be honest, rust on the rear arch, underneath - the underseal is pretty old and is starting to come away.
As I’ve only had it 8 months, I’m contemplating getting work done to the body and other bits to make it better. Paintwork needs doing as well. I might as well buy a new one but then I’ll miss the NC as it does drive really well, doesn’t eat oil for breakfast either!
