Hi All,
I am due to pick up my first MX5 later this week…it’s a 2007 ‘Sport’ with PRHT in Stormy Blue. This will be a 3rd car for the occasional blast in the sunshine, but I would be keen to perhaps take it on the odd track day and maybe even to the Nürburgring next year for a little road trip.
It’s a fairly high mile car (126k), but only 2 female owners and full (mostly Mazda) history and no history of rust on the MOT…although I know a little is creeping in on the N/S rear arch, so will get onto that straight away. (The price was reflective of this…)
Nonetheless, I look forward to being more of an active member moving forwards and perhaps attending a meet or two (Berkshire or surrounding counties) - I will do more of a post / write up once I have the car
Cheers, Matt

Welcome aboard.
I bought my NB with a similar history.
Attending to the rust might be a priority because it can be worse than it appears if you’re unlucky.
Looking forward to seeing more when you get a chance and enjoy any sunshine the weather throws your way.
Cheers,
Guy
Cheers Guy - yes, rust has to be on the priority list, even if I can get in with an initial DIY effort to stem the spread, i.e. rub back, rust treatment and a primer/patch repair until I can get it booked in. Rust has never been mentioned on the MOT history, so I’m hopefully it is very local…but I will soon find out.

That looks beautiful - what a day for it.
I can see why -that’s lovely
Thank you, it’s our current 2 seater pride and joy. And it likes a track day out also to stretch her legs
