Hi all,
New member in Central Scotland and I’ve just taken custody of a 2004 NB Sport owned by my dad for over a decade. It already had an MX-5 Owners Club sticker in the back window when he bought it, so there’s a small chance someone may recognise it.
A few things on it to sort out, and signs of the dreaded rust around the rear arches, but planning to work through everything as it comes up. Not the first MX in the family - we had a 2007 PHRT from new for a couple of years until the kids came along and forced us into something bigger.
Looking forward to a few spins around Argyll over the summer, cheers!

Would love to, but already booked up for something else, organised before I had any idea I’d be enjoying open top motoring again.
East Fortune is a great venue though, hope everyone has a great day.

Looking to do glen coe this year, it was one of my favourite bike trips, and i bet its going to be just as much fun in the mx5, regardless its an area of outstanding natural beauty and im looking forward to it .
Lovely example you have there

Thanks! We did a trip up to Mallaig in our last MX-5 a few years back and stopped off at the Kingshouse hotel before it was bought out and turned into something quite different - it’s a beautiful parrt of the country.

We’re close enough that we can do Mallaig and back in a day, so no useful hotel recommendations for there I’m afraid.
One thing to be aware of is the Jacobite steam train service which runs daily from Fort William to Mallaig (or the Harry Potter train as mine call it
). It’s a great trip, but it does disgorge hordes of hungry people into the centre of Mallaig around lunchtime looking for somewhere to eat.
Interesting thank you, we are looking for a four day mid week trip, peace quiet and some lovely twisty roads
Sounds like our plan…
