i have the mk 3 but have noticed the seats are ‘lowerable’ on the new one im 6’3’’ and use the car for 5 hour drives every weekend to swansea fomr kings lynn and back and i tried out lowering th seat fully in the dealer today and it makes a massisve difference in confort, just wandering if (i have the leather heated option by the way) if seome one would want to swap my leather from the mk 3 for a seat from the 3.5 i know its a big ask however if you dont use the seat adjustment then you wouldnt mind swapping.

Good morning Adam, it may be you are under a mishapprehension , our mk3 has adjustable drivers seat . I have a spare set of adjustable seats from a 2009 mk3(cloth) 11miles from Swansea . Are you interested?

Are you saying that some MK3s have adjustable seats,because I was led to beleive this was only fitted to the MK3.5.
I find the opposite to Adam my seat feels to low in my MK3.

Andy I have amended my post the drivers seat is adjustable for height.
I do not know about other mk3, ours and the spare set off a Mk3 2009 have height adjustment on the drivers seat .

height adjustable is on the 3.5 the 3 just has lumber and forwards and back
idealy i would like to remain with the heated leather as its a high spec and a big downgrde to a cloth idealy trade a mk 3 heated leather and some beers or cash for a 3.5 heated leather.
i spoke to the dealer today the only option is to swap out the seats for the new ones
how much would you want for a drivers seat would be nice to have the extra room untill i can swap the seats out

how do you adjust the height on a mk3 drivers seat? i cant even find a hadle. the mk3.5 has a nice little pump action on the right hand sie of the seat
I feel sure the height adjustable seat was added sometime in 2008 to the MK3. We have a member with a Niseko that has the facility, with a pump up lever by the side of the seat. I enquired the cost of a retro fit (being a vertically challenged person!) - from memory it was in the region of £800 per seat!

I’m sure I said something similar up above Jim about height adjustable appearing on the MK3 in 2008 but sometimes people only see what they want to

so has anyone got a mk3.5 drivers seat at least avalable or to swap i gotta get something
