New Solent member, Southampton

Hi everyone.

I’d like to introduce myself and my Mk2.5 Arizona to the forum. As an MX5 virgin until just recently, for me ownership is all about wind-in-the hair B-road cruising, and membership of this club will hopefully be about driving, socialising and meeting new friends (anybody remember that?) I’m really looking forward to chatting with some members this spring/summer along with my wife, Elaine, and our 18 year old little girl, Mazi… I bought her late last year (2 owners, 26k with FSH) and have recently treated her to some new shoes (a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 3’s that replaced some part-worn but 7 year old Toyos) and had her tracking done. Currently I’m unsure whether to keep her as original as possible or introduce some subtle enhancements, so I’m looking forward to hearing lots of your opinions and advice!

In the meantime take care, and we’ll (hopefully) meet some of you soon.
John.

Looking good.
First thing I’d say is to check out your clutch biting point.
If its somewhere in the carpet underlay, which it very often is, you can adjust it by means of the adjustable pushrod at the top of the clutch pedal.
Its a simple job made awkward by inaccessibility but incredibly worthwhile.

Hi John, Welcome to the Solent group once we can get back out you will find us a very friendly group and we have some very interesting drives and meet up’s. I also go out with the Wessex group on Wednesdays during the day time.

Look forward to seeing your new toy soon.

Hi John and welcome to the MX5OC… Nice car and love your plate…! :slightly_smiling_face:
