I’ve just booked in for this one so that’s another MX-5 on the list!! Yay!
Also queried ID reqs for RAF and Colin Jebson has confirmed that your nromal Driving Licence (also reqd to sign on anyway) will suffice so passport can stay at home!
Snetterton was great today - still got overtaken by a ma5da racing car but his cornering was better even though I could leave him down the straights!
Dry morning but very wet afternoon but day was v quiet so great track space and time! Melted one set of HT leads by 11am but am now ready for Wittering now!
Well its getting closer, got the form sent to me today (thanks Kev) have filled in, going to do a few checks on the car tomorrow and then Im ready to go!!!
Not seen the layout yet though, are we still meeting at the lay-by, looks like we have a drivers brief @ 9.15am. Do we still think 6.30 is about right? Lets keep our fingers crossed for good weather.
I’m bring a mate to have a go at driving too so as I’m going to have no room for my big tool box on the passenger seat as normal, maybe we need a joined up team effort on tools to be transported??? I can still obviously use the boot but it seems a bit daft me taking a trolley jack and axle stands in there if someone else also does?
I hear what you are saying, the lay-by is on the Norwich Bypass between junction going to Lowestoft/Poringland (still on the bypass) and the Ipswich turn off I think its the one just before the road dips down ( Kev correct me if Im wrong) I suggest a time of 6.45am, this seem ok guys??
With regards to tools, I know that Peter is taking a trolley Jack, I have a couple of axel stands if required. I shall take a torque wrench, small amount of spare fluids and small tools, spanners etc, but thats about it. Also don’t forget some food.
I’m hoping I might be able to tag along. Spoke to Javelin and I still have time to book my place. I just need to sort my tyres out. Got 3.5mm on the back on my Firestones but I have some Toyo’s on different wheels which I don’t have any time left to swap over.
