New Wheel Nuts

I had my wheels refurbished on my NC 3.5 at the backend of 2022 and although they look great the old scabby wheel nuts let them down so I’ve been looking for some new ones…
The wheels were redone in in dark grey so i was thinking of getting some black nuts to compliment the new colour, but have been warned off getting black ones as they will chip and then rust, so i’m thinking of keeping them chrome…
I’ve seen these from MOSS so I’m just wondering if anyone has used these before…

I have thought about looking at some covers, just that each wheel has one of those massive ugly locking wheel nuts… why do they need to be so big…!!

Ditch them then….wheel theft is virtually unheard off these days. They’ll take the whole motor before going to the bother of swiping a set of wheels.

I agree and will be taking my rusting locking wheel nuts off. When I was selling Mazdas we often had loads left over when 4 are removed per car to fit locking nuts. Your local dealer may have some available.

Any recommendations out there from anyone on a nice sets of nuts :nut_and_bolt: ….?

Look on eBay…loads of different styles.
I’ve replaced my original set with fresh oe ones.

At what cost,?
The above link to Moss only seems to list nuts for mark ones and twos when you follow it.

They can look just just as good with the original chrome nuts. Yes they corrode but kept clean they should look ok.

Hi Mick, do you have a link for those…?

Got mine off their ebay shop but a link to their premises below, give them a ring as it seems they only have a set of 5 on ebay at present.
They are MX-5 breakers in South Derbyshire and had a large collection of chrome used wheel nuts. They post parts out, not just collection. Being local i paid the ebay price and collected them. Was also able to go and select my own 16 nuts.
They vary in condition, so you could get some decent or not so. They cleaned up well, as all these oem chrome ones seem to rust in a short space of time.

Perfect, greatly appreciated…:+1:

I seem to recall that all mks of MX5 from NA to ND fit the same set of wheel nuts (there’s a useless fact for you  )

Correct👍

Keep a scabby set for winter. That’s what I do on my other Mazda.
