New Years Day Run To Barrington Car show on the green 01.01.2018

We are doing a run to a car meet that has been ongoing for 40 years on the green opposite “The Royal Oak” pub at Barrington CB22 7RZ.

We will be meeting at Boreham services CM2 5PY at 10am in the McDonalds car park.

It will take about 1.30 hours to drive the route to be decided on the day.

Below is the review from last year.

This run will depend on the weather but everyone is more than welcome.

Hope the weather will be fine for the first drive of 2018.

Please let me know if you wish to attend.

The show, on the village green opposite the Royal Oak pub, ran under the stewardship of Monty Goding for more than 40 years, but no one came forward to volunteer when he stepped down last year and it was feared it would be the end of the road.

However, much to the delight of the pub and classic car enthusiasts from North Herts and South Cambs, it didn’t stop people meeting up this year.

Royal Oak’s Laura Kahlbaum said: “Even though it doesn’t have an organiser anymore we still have lots of people asking about it, and there were lots of cars turning up on Sunday.”

Hi,

I’ll come unless the weather is terrible.

I should probably introduce myself first… I’m Ben, joined the club a couple of months ago. I’m 28 (I get the feeling I’m one of the younger members? ) and have an NC1, see profile avatar, and an NA project car which probably won’t be around for much longer.

Haven’t had the chance to attend an event yet but want to get involved in the New Year so this seems like a good place to start.

Regards

Ben

Be good to meet you Ben.  Hope the sun shines. Happy new year.  Bazza

Hi Bazza.
I hope to come, unless I have a serious headache. Hopefully the weather will be fine.

Happy new year, Derek
