Newbie In Pembrokeshire

Hi all, just joined the forum. Thought it best seeing as how my wife and I got our 1993 Eunos 1.6, freshly imported, about 10 years ago now.

After using it for about four years , it went into the garage in 2008, put up on stands, covered up and not used for six years. Well, about three weeks ago, I decided to sell one of my motorcycles and put the money into getting her on the road again, much to my wifes joy!!! Anyway, following an oil change and new discs and pads all round, she passed her MOT with flying colours. I had forgotten how much fun the “rollerskate” was to drive.

Anyway was just wondering if there are any members around the Haverfordwest area or anywhere in Pembrokeshire, for a possible meet up before my wife and I move onto bigger things…Carmarthen, Swansea and beyond.

 

ANYWAY…HELLO…and have fun!!! I have just rediscovered it after six years!!!

Hello and welcome Cool there is a local group to you, they have regular meets and drives.   I am sure some one will come along and invite to one of the meets or drives.

If you go into areas on this site and click on south wales you will find a list of meetings and drives.

Hi Robbie. Just joined the forum myself. I’m just outside Haverfordwest, towards Hayscastle. Perhaps meet up one day if there is a run?

Like you, I am reducing the bike fleet and my wife is delighted. She had a Midget back in the day, and loves the open-top thing. Maybe selling all the bikes and admitting defeat soon :slight_smile:

We’ve got a meeting arranged for Wednesday evening on the 15th October around 7ish at the Begelly Arms Kilgetty. If we have enough members attending we’ll make it a regular monthly feature. Why don’t you come over and say hello and see what we’re all about.

Hi Dave and thanks for the invite. Unfortunately I work Wednesday evenings/nights so I won’t be able to attend. However, I am free Sundays, so I am looking forward to the next Sunday meet, if there is one.

Our next Sunday run is on the 26th October. We’ll be leaving Asda Merthyr on the A465 at 10:30 am and ending up at St Pierre golf club about 1:30 pm for lunch. Let me know if you want to join us.

Sorry not to reply quicker.  We were on holiday, and when we came back a thunderstorm had fried our internet connection and router.  BT reckon three weeks to fix (they need to replace about 3 km of cable between the village and exchange), so I have only just got back on the internet at work.

I have talked with my better half and she feels Merthyr is a bit far for her at the moment, but if there is one closer to home in the future (say Swansea or West of there) we will be there.

No problem. We’ll have plenty of runs going from Swansea and the West in the future, just keep an eye out on the Forum or if you join our wonderful club you’ll see all our local information on my monthly newsletter sent out on email. Talking about emails hope you’ll be back online soon.
