My wife and I are also new to the club having only very recently purchased a Black mk 1, will come along to one of the meets soon but cannot this month. We are in Swansea and look forward to meeting up with people in the near future. I am not remotely mechanically minded so will be picking people’s brains I’m afraid.

Hello snurfen, whilst I will not see you on my commute, we do hope to meet up in Porthcawl soon. We have young children so we have to get baby sitters, but where there is a nana there is a way! When I collected my car, I drove 100 miles home, roof down, singing all the way. I have not enjoyed driving so much since I passed my test, it is a wonderful feeling.I know this car will cost more to run than my last car (Vauxhall Corsa diesel) but I hated that car, it was like paint drying. Anyway, welcome to the forum I know one or two others who will be joining soon.
