This is a great drive anytime of year , lovely sweeping and also tight bends , takes you thru great villages with nice pubs on the way. Warning it is such a great driving road it is patrolled by unmarked police cars… watch your speed… tony
Is that the b1038 and a507? I drove the 507 from Baldock to Buntingford the first day I picked up my ND from Letchworth the week before last. Good road but I’ve not carried on to Newport in Essex but I will do this weekend.

Just completed this run, very nice villages but virtually the whole drive is a 50 mph speed limit and static speed cameras.
still enjoyed it in the 5.
Missed your post yesterday. I was out on my bike first thing trying to get fit for 50… I did take the car out later around Old Warden on a loop from Shefford Ireland, Cardington, Cople Northill, Henlow, Shillington and around to Hitchin. Lots of quiet backroads and no cameras
