No more scraping

Hi, now we are getting into the season of cold and frosts, thought I would pass on a tip to keep your screen clear of frost and avoid scraping!
I use a length of bubblewrap roll wider than the car so that it can be held by the doors. The wrap does not damage the door seals and if the smooth side is out, the bubbles make only partial contact with the screen and a layer of air is trapped.
Next morning just release it, give it a shake and it’s ready to be used again.
Works equally well on other makes!

Open garage door.

Drive out.

Good tip, thanks! (not that our MX5 ever ventures out during the winter). I have also used leftover insulation from hard floor installations, foil on one side & foam on the other using the doors to keep it in place.

Lucky you!

Neat tip! In these Amazon days we all have a lot of bubble wrap we can’t find a home for👍

Great tip. My ND sits on the drive and is used daily in all weathers - 20k miles/PA. I previously used a fabric cover but as you say, that needs to dry out so will give the bubble wrap a go.

I put it in the soft plastic recycling at Tesco - ours has a big trolley by the entrance.
