No o2 sensor holes on aftermarket exhaust

  1. My model of MX-5 is: __mk1 1.8 1995
  2. I’m based near: __northampton
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __aftermarket exhaust
I have just bought an exhaust from gravity performance and it doesn’t have any holes to refit the o2 sensors?
Do I really have to weld my own in or is this a fault.
Has anyone bought from gravity performance and had the same experience?
    Very annoyed!
If I have to am I right in thinking they are m18 with a 1.5 pitch thread? So that I can just tig a nut on it

I have only had a back box from them and it was very good.

Have you spoken to them to see if it is an error ?

I have and it seems that exhaust is for a model that doesn’t have an o2 sensor I was under the impression that the mk1 1.6 and 1.8 shared the same exhaust.
I’ve spoken to mx5 parts and it would seem that earlier models may have had the sensor on the manifold and not on the down pipe where mine is (see pic)

I guess I’m going to have to drill it and tig a nut on it🤬
I would just like to add that the quality of the exhaust system I received is fine

You can buy a specific o2 boss to weld on instead of a nut, they’re not expensive but you need to know the thread pitch and size. Normally less than a fiver on ebay.

Done already and a new o2 sensor in the post. Thanks
