Welcome to MSV events. There are all ages of MX-5 going to the stand - at no point in any of their correspondence have they ever mentioned any requirement for pre 2000. You’ll be fine, I think you can amend your vehicle in your MSV profile needed to book the tickets

For reference from @iainf if you hear pre 2000, post 2000 cars are ok to join the stand.
