Hi,
I have just bought a 2007 mk 3 roadster coupe 2.0. It has done 89,000 miles
Car has a full mazda service history but is overdue on calendar date but only 6000K since the last service.
I am thinking of getting a service done by my local Mazda main dealers (Wrights Mazda in Norwich ) for ‘my’ first service. Perhaps just to see what i have inherited from the last careful owner, then consiser my options for any future work.
The car is high milage and a few years old now so i need to ve a bit careful what i spend on it.
I am a reasonable home DIYer for ongoing repairs, however when you work full time you also need to consider how much grubbing around on the driveway is worth on precious days off…
Apart from the main dealers does anybody have any other recommended independant garages in Norfolk/Norwich/Dereham area ?
Hi,
I can highly recommend both Fast Eddy at Coltishall - http://www.fast-eddys.biz/ & The Little Car Clinic at Attleborough - http://www.thelittlecarclinic.co.uk.
Both know MX5s inside out. Slightly further afield, you’ve also got Michael Cleverley at Stradbroke - http://www.mx5expert.com/ - not used him personally, but I know of others that have and recommend him.
No MX5 specialists in Dereham that I am aware of, but we’ve used Ade’s Auto Repairs - https://www.facebook.com/adesautorepairs/ for some routine servicing & repairs on other cars and so can also recommend him for that. I know he helps maintain a race car (http://www.awsmotorsport.co.uk/) as we saw him at Brands Hatch last year working on it in between races.

I have all my work done by Michael at http://www.mx5expert.com/ He is a MX5 specialist and I have never had caiuse for concern. I bit of a trip for me 100miles round trip, but worth the drive.
I once wanted work done that would have cost me an and a leg (upgrading the car) and he explained in detail why I would not need the work done and saved my a fortune. He could have just done the work and made a killing, but he is an honest man and that in todays market is a rare thing.

Another endorsement for Fast Eddy, top bloke knows his stuff.
And another for Michael Cleverley. Totally honest and an MX-5 “guru”.
